inbox keeps saying building summary but never loads

Hi,

I updated Thunderbird, but the inbox doesn't load. It keeps saying "building summary" but stays blank.

I've tried going back to the older version, but it's still the same.

I can see sent, deleted all other folders, but the inbox isn't showing up at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you see individual Inbox messages in the thread pane? If so, can you select individual messages?

Are you accumulating messages in Inbox? If so, what's the size of your Inbox folder in the file system?

What is your anti-virus software?
