Hulu videos will not work
So moral of the story, I can't play hulu videos because firefox likes to say that widevine will be downloaded shortly but it never downloads. I don't know what the problem for this can be.

Hi Dammy, some users have this issue and it's not clear why. One possible reason is a redirect block, since Google redirects the URL. For example, my Firefox has this Widevine (64-bit Windows): https://redirector.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/1.4.9.1088-win-x64.zip When I requested that, the server sent Firefox this URL to follow: https://r2---sn-n4v7knl6.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/1.4.9.1088-win-x64.zip?mip=2602:301:77c6:b280:7883:ff3c:bf37:823&pl=52&shardbypass=yes&redirect_counter=1&rm=sn-n4vey7e&fexp=23763603&req_id=decf76352fe81d39&cms_redirect=yes&ipbypass=yes&mm=28&mn=sn-n4v7knl6&ms=nvh&mt=1544289611&mv=u If you have to set it up manually to get around that, I have some steps in this old post: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1207502 Note: There seems to be a newer version as of October 25th that could be used by new installations: https://redirector.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/4.10.1196.0-win-x64.zip That redirected me to: https://r3---sn-n4v7sn7l.gvt1.com/edgedl/widevine-cdm/4.10.1196.0-win-x64.zip?mip=2602:301:77c6:b280:7883:ff3c:bf37:823&pl=52&shardbypass=yes&redirect_counter=1&rm=sn-o09ld7s&fexp=23763603&req_id=fa26f394b1efc01a&cms_redirect=yes&ipbypass=yes&mm=28&mn=sn-n4v7sn7l&ms=nvh&mt=1544290522&mv=m (I didn't try to install it... I'm hoping it will slip in by itself when needed.)
So thanks to jcher2000 I got the new version and the steps to manually install it

I think that the newer version is meant for Firefox 64 (my current 64.0 beta has 1196, Dec 6).
- bug 1493255 - Update rules to serve Widevine 4.10.1146.0 to Firefox 64 Desktop (Windows, Mac, and Linux)
Try to toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components.
- Options/Preferences -> General: Play DRM
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-drm
and thanks to cor-el i found out that i needed to download the beta for the new boi to work.
coolio coolio you guys are vv cool

I'm still having trouble on this. I followed your exact directions in the other post you linked to. I figured out that my computer doesn't like to redirect me to other websites so thats a thing. would this have anything to do with an antivirus or anything on my computer? Because I know ESET blocks a little too many things that its not supposed to.

Note that Firefox 64.0 is about to be released in a few days (Tuesday), so best is to check this and install Firefox 64 release when it becomes available.
Otherwise you will be updated to Firefox 65.0b2 at the end of the week since you are now on the Beta update channel.
okay sounds good my dude
