Why Thunderbird search results will not show an email that has been automatically marked as "junk" by Thundirbird itself (pending yellow ribbon at the top)?

Some of the emails are automatically marked by Thunderbird as junk. A yellow ribbon appears at the top along with a button to mark it as "Not Junk".

However, if the user does not press the "not junk" button right away, the specific emai(s) will not appear in any search result (by email, word/phrase etc).

Is there any way of including such emails in the search results? (Win10x64, Thunderbird 60.8.032bit)

Thank you in advance

The Junk folder is excluded from Global Search (Ctrl+K) by default, but you can enable it by right-clicking Junk, Properties, and checking 'Include messages....'. I don't think this happens if you use the Quick Filter Bar (Ctrl+Shift+K) to search a folder (type into the box to show the filter criteria).

I am not referring to emails in the junk folder, but to emails even in the main Inbox folder which are automatically marked as junk by Thunderbird (remaining at the main folder) as soon as they are received.

Using the Quick Filter Bar (Ctrl+Shift+K) partially solves the problem, as it cannot search inside email folders other than the currently active (selected).

You could use : Menu icon > Find > Search Messages Search for messages: choose the account name itself or a folder in an account. Select: Search subfolders select match all of the following eg: 'Subject' and 'contains' and type: claim click on 'Search' button It will search either all folders in selected account or any selected folder depending on what you told it to search. The 'Location' column header tells you where it is. click on an emails in list to open
