Reconnect to firefox sync prompt at every computer restart?

I recently got a new computer and installed firefox. Every time the computer restarts, it wants me to log in for the sync feature ("Reconnect to Firefox Account" appears under options with an exclamation point). This did not happen on my old computer, so this is weird because all I've done is reinstalled firefox with the exact same settings/addons as before. This is my personal desktop computer so I don't want to have to re-log in every restart.

This article will help you, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-sync-troubleshooting-and-tips

Thank you but this article doesn't really address the issue. Sync is working fine - the problem is Firefox asks me to reconnect/sign in every time the computer restarts.

I still haven't been able to find a resolution to this - still getting asked to sign into firefox everytime the computer restarts.

This usually happens if there is a problem with the Password Manager. Firefox stores the credentials for the Firefox Account used for Sync in the Password Manager. If this entry is lost then you will have to login (reconnect) each time you start Firefox.

Are you otherwise experiencing issues with saving passwords or are you clearing passwords ?

I use LastPass for all of my passwords. When I try to use the password manager just for the sync password, it then requires I enter my master password (for the firefox master password) at every restart.

Yes, that is how it works. You either get a MP prompt or you need to login to Sync each time you start Firefox. If you only use the Firefox Password Manager for Sync then you can consider to use a simple MP or disable the MP.

I think I'm just kind of confused though because I have *never* had to use a MP or re-enter my firefox account login so much for sync. I had the most updated version of Firefox on my old computer and it did not do this.

It doesn't even seem to happen on restart. For example, my computer has not restarted in the past 12 hours and I've had to re-enter my password to start sync again 3 times.

Is there anything that would prompt firefox to do the "reconnect to sync" thing even outside of restarts?
