"To" box

I just had to re-install my OS (Windows 10), and when I came back to Thunderbird, I can't bring up any additional "To" boxes other than the top one. Previously, I could hit "Enter" and another "To" box would appear below the 1st one where I could list another recipient. Now, there's only one "To: box and additional recipients show up horizontally next to the 1st one. Did this happen with an update? Can I fix it?

This is the new layout starting with v78 (the latest ESR product release). There's nothing to fix, because it's not broken. If you MUST have those multiple boxes, you'll have to install v68 instead.

Indeed, the improved layout takes less space, you can put multiple addresses on a single line, and you can right+click single or multiple addresses to move them between TO and CC.

In the future you will be able to drag and drop.
