How can you strip prepended warnings like [EXTERNAL] from the subject line
Hello-- Does anyone know a way of removing prepended text like [EXTERNAL] from the subject line? Are there macros in Thunderbird that can do this?

I'm not aware of an automated method, but the Subject can be edited manually:

Thank you sfhowes for that quick response. But I need something that will automatically do this for all emails that come in.
Something like an Outlook Macro.
