Selected email highlight color not working in Pop!_OS dark mode
Hi all. I am using Pop!_OS 20.10, which is an Ubuntu-based Linux. I use the dark mode, and on Pop!_OS, things that are highlighted get highlighted in bright blue, which I think is typically orange in normal Ubuntu. When I first started using this, Thunderbird played very well with the dark mode, and the email that was selected was highlighted with the same bright blue background, and the text went black, to contrast with the bright highlight. All other emails normally had a dark background with white text. All this is normal behavior for dark mode.
I am not sure which update changed things. Now, the selected email does not get the blue background highlight color change; instead, it gets the mouse-over dark highlight color, which is slightly brighter than the rest of the background, but still dark. However the text still goes black, making it very hard to read. All this also applies to the folder selection on the left panel. If I switch the OS to light mode, all the colors seem to work normally, but I'd like for dark mode to work as before.
Let me know if I can provide more information, thanks.

I am going to politely bump this, as there have been several updates to Thunderbird, the OS, GNOME, etc., since I posted this, and this weird problem with Thunderbird still exists. Any ideas?
To be even more specific about the problem: When I first start Thunderbird, the highlighted email and folder on the left are actually working normally, with the blue background. But as soon as I do anything else window-related, like maximize the window, navigate away from and back to this workspace, etc., the problem happens, and persists.
