Hello everyone,

after a fresh reinstallation of Windows 10 and signing into my firefox synch account, all my bookmarks, History, saved passwords and all settings are missing.

I have clicked on synch many times but unlike in the past, where after a new installations I could simply log into firefox to get my old settings, this time everything is gone.

Can anyonne help please?

This could be a problem that just happens and isn't known why. I'll look into it for you.

Did you reset the password of the Sync account because you didn't remember it?

Resetting the password for your Sync account because you forgot it will clear all data stored on the Sync server and you will no longer be able to retrieve data that was previously stored on the Sync server. This is because this password is used to encrypt the data locally before uploading to the Sync server and only the original password can decrypt content that is on the Sync server.

You can install the About Sync extension in Firefox 72 and newer on desktop to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension.

Close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for possible about pages).

Yes I indeed had to reset my password unfortunately. So is there a way of still getting the data back with this sync addon?
