I'm trying to setup Sync for my two computers - both are older machines Desktop: PowerSpec B333 Netbook: HP Mini-110 4250NR

Both are running Windows 7-Pro and Firefox 88.0.1

Issue: I set up my Sync account (this ID) on my desktop, entered the validation code and everything seemed fine. Try to sign into Sync on the Netbook and it wants a validation code again...which is never sent to my e-mail and the one I used on the Desktop isn't valid for the Netbook.

How can I sign into the Netbook for Sync when I never receive the validation code it insists I need?

you can also access your email online too. so perhaps, the validation code is in your junk mail box or something.

my suggestion, is to log into your email online account and retry the validation code methodology.

Already thought of that - my spam box is empty, all my boxes are empty. It's like it wasn't sent at all.

try logging out of sync on the desktop.

then try logging in on the netbook.

also, you might want to creat a new profile on the netbook by going to the following url:

about:profiles

there will be a "create" button. once the FF profile is created, then log into your sync account.

what is expected is that the sync will see the new profile and download your user data to it.

btw: i dont recall needing validation codes. my memory could be faulty. but perhaps something isnt exactly right on your end either.

In case of issues try to login to the Firefox Account via this website.
