Spell check is not working. According to Thunderbird every word I type is incorrect.

Last time I encountered this, I had to reinstall the dictionary I use for spell checking. Go to Preferences > Composition > Spelling and check the status of those options.

Thanks for your prompt & accurate reply. My default dictionary was set to French!
