delete pocket permenantly from firefox
i do not have a great skill level with laptops and i am limited to being able to use google search . i choose firefox because google chrome is now too slow . i want to remove pocket by doing it with one click because it carries news articles from the guardian news paper a publication i detest . does any one know how to get rid of this bias left wing middle class crap with one click . i do not understand the complicated lists of instructions . thanks if any one knows

Thank you for the example; however, there is no need to express political beliefs.
Pocket has multiple places where it can be found. It can be found in the newtab page and as an extension. These must be disabled separately.
I believe you are having issues with the newtab page. To remove these, go to your newtab page, click on the settings cog on the top right of the page, and turn off "Recommended by Pocket."
To remove the builtin Pocket extension (which you may want to do, but I do not believe that this is the source of your problems), you go to about:config and change the following setting.
WARNING from the moderator team:
Changing Firefox pref from the about:config page can sometimes break Firefox or cause strange behavior. You should only do this if you know what you're doing.
Please read Firefox Advanced Customization and Configuration Options to learn more. Set extensions.pocket.enabled to false.
You can set extensions.pocket.enabled = false on the about:config page to disable Pocket.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
