I just purchased and downloaded VPN - how do I know that the using the VPN and not the regular Firefox browser?

Note that the Mozilla VPN works system wide to access internet and isn't Firefox specific, so you still use the same Firefox browser to access internet but you internet connection uses the VPN and not a direct connection.
please explain how I can check if the VPN is active and providing privacy while I use my iPhone?
