WEBSITES ARE NOT OPENING ANY LONGER THAT BEFORE WERE ALWAYS AVAILABLE. i.e. dictionary.com etc

Regular pages that I use to open through the firefox browser will no longer do so. I have had this happen on about 10 websites I wanted to visit. How can this stop so I can do the browsing I wish to do. Simple things like dictionary.com is one such no longer available. My joy of browsing is slowly being eliminated. PLEASE HELP.

Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What are the exact error messages?
