Purging Thunderbird and Starting Over
I have used Thunderbird on the Mac for years. At the present time, I cannot get any passwords (old or new to trigger a download of messages from AOL, my email provider ([edited email from public] @verizon.net). I have several Thunderbird accounts. I tried purging all Thunderbird accounts from my computer, so that I could start over, but when I try to install the new app, it looks into my history on my computer and re-establishes the same stuff and I am back to square one.
How do I purge my computer of this history? I love Thunderbird, I just need to access it!

You could create a new profile from Help/More Troubleshooting, about:profiles, which would not affect data in the current profile. With Verizon/AOL accounts, it's now required to use app passwords in TB instead of the regular account password.
