Version 100 is a battery and data drain, impossible to use! At least: turn off settings bar auto hide so we dont have to close app and delete cache/app data non stop!

Hi

You can turn off the address bar auto hide in the Firefox for Android menu. Select Settings, Customise and deselect the opton to Scroll to hide toolbar.

I hope that this helps.

Thank you for your prompt answer, and I did set it that way, but the last update made big changes, on my A10 too, (which I only use on wifi because a weak and non replaceable battery.) It unfortunately updated too, and the customize options are now very limited only. New windows no longer close. and it opens them non stop as it starts looking right away instead of waiting for me to hit enter. The top bar is gone most of the time and I have to close and empty the cache in settings. And most pages that loaded fine before, like NPR.org for example, no longer load. I did not change settings. G Chrome works as it did before but I need in FF bookmarks and passwords.....

I live in a rural area with mostly 3G and 2G and only cell phone signal in/near towns. 5G as unlikely to happen in these mountains in my lifetime, as year round electricity, and smooth pavement. I wasted time by trying a different version: FF Nightly, on my A10 phone. But most sites just never load. My W10 computer has no problems, so I am writing on that. I have put all on manual update for now until this mystery is solved. The battery drain at all times is impossible and the Motorola battery says 87% is Firefox today. I have to keep this phone plugged in!

I really wish FF allowed me to uninstall this update, or make a V.99 app available for Android.

Hi

Is using Wi-fi any better than mobile data?

Mozilla, or any internet browser, has always been too data heavy to be very useful on mobile data here. But the older versions worked much better on Wifi than they do now. The computer is of course has always been the best way to go online. I now installed FF beta on the A 10, and it at least doesn't hang, unlike FF v. 102, or FF nightly. So ... I

(Ps: I used to love the new possibilities of the internet, designed many great websites, edited sound and original programming for public access TV, but all that has become too expensive. And now I am particularly really frustrated cellphones, and problems that updates cause, and how they can waste so much of my time! Why are in general updates rarely improvements in functionality for the users of phones or computers these days?
