I downloaded Thunderbird 102.0.1 and updated to 102.0.3 and love the format and looks. Had some issues with the calendar, but finally figured it out with help from help group on Reddit, but so far I haven't found any reference to, or solution to this issue.

After the upgrade when my emails come into my mailbox, they just stay there, I have to manually run the command to run the rules on folder. I want the rules to automatically start running when all of the mail is downloaded, with no help from me. Like they used to do in the old version. I don't want to have to retype all of my rules, there are over 300 of them, and I never have any luck with importing.

Please help. It's driving me nuts.

Check your filter rules to see that a) they are enabled b) that folder actions have a valid folder target

Everything was checked, but nothing worked until I updated to Thunderbird 12.1.0. Really weird. No other changes made, no other users. I guess the magic fairy dropped off some fairy dust. I don't care as long as it works now.

It sounds like bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1778064, so you aren't the only one with this problem. There has been no progress in recent weeks though. TB102 still has some way to go for release quality.
