Firefox Incompatibility with Godaddy Hosting log-in 2 step Security Verification

more options

I am having reoccurring log-in issues with Godaddy Hosting, using their 2 step verification process. Enter my password, it generates a code to my phone, enter the code on my Godaddy screen, it blinks and returns to the password screen again. No error message. Do the password again, the loop repeats. If it is done too many times Godaddy locks my account for 24 hours and won't manually reset it even calling Godaddy customer support.

Of course when I call Godaddy they have me use another browser (Microsoft Edge from my desktop, Safari from my iPhone). Both the other non Firefox browsers work without fail

Short of not using Firefox which I prefer. What can I do/check? So far I have tried rebooting then using a "Private Window" Removing all cookies I believe I have the latest Firefox version installed on my Windows 11 64 bit ver 21H2 (Firefox 106.0.5 (64-bit)

I am not the only one having this problem from the complaints I read about Godaddy.

Firefox recently rolled out "Total Cookie Protection" to more users. This limits how sites can use "third party" or "cross-site" cookies, meaning cookies from different websites than the one you see in the address bar. Some sites pass you back and forth between different servers during login because they have their services spread out over a number of different servers. In those cases, you might be able to submit a form successfully on one page and then the next page says you are not logged in. Frustrating!

You can make exceptions to this feature when needed (for each server that you visit as part of the process of using this company's services). More info in the following articles:

Any difference?

Thank you. I may try some of this when I have time.

For now I have taken the path of least resistance. I stopped using Firefox and am using Microsoft Edge.
