Seems talking to several tech support teams, including HP, Word Press etc all want me to change from Firefox to Chrome
Would someone please explain to me WHY? all the support teams like HP tech support, Wordpress tech support most independent support teams want me to drop Firefox and install Chrome Edge ? Both want to take over my computer and things in those browsers are much harder to navigate to want different p/w etc. I am in the process of them doing so at present and I think it sucks plus I have to change a whole lot of other things just to access what is easy on Firefox...............DUH..........

I don't want to be critical, but... those folks really don't know how to troubleshoot Firefox so they want you to use what they know.
A common reason for issues in Firefox is content blocking. Firefox's Tracking Protection feature, and extensions that counter ads and tracking, may break websites that embed third party content (meaning, from a secondary server).
(A) The shield icon toward the left end of the address bar usually turns a bit purplish when content is blocked. Click the icon to learn more or make an exception. See: Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop.
(B) Extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix may block required elements on a site. Usually you can find a toolbar button for each add-on to manage blocked content in a page. There may or may not be a number on the icon indicating the number of blocked items; you sometimes need to click the button to see what's going on and test whether you need to make an exception for this site.
That's always the first thing to suspect when a site doesn't seem to work fully. Of course, you only need to tolerate ads and trackers on sites that area important to you!
