my Thunderbird automatically updated on Wednesday: 'Version 115.2.3, first offered to channel users on September 20, 2023'. I have just received my 1st email with an attachment but the buttons that were previously displayed permitting me to save the attachment are no longer there - so I can't download attachments.

This applies to all previous emails received with attachments not just today's one. The attachment is there and downloadable on webmail but not when it reaches my Thunderbird client.

What has happened please, and how do I access attachments?

Thanks - Anthony Rae

No the file name wwas not long but as it happens the problem has now been solved because I simply closed Thunderbird, reopened it again, and the missing 'save' button has now reappeared. I should have tried that 'solution for every computer problem' before I asked this forum. To be fair to me this has never occurred previously after multiple previous updates.

Thanks

Are the names of the attachments long, as described at Bug 1827882 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1827882 ? - Longer attachment name fails to text-overflow with ellipsis, pushes other UI elements out of view (Save button, attachment file size etc.)
