Google Image Search Gallery View

more options

I just did a Google image search on my pixel 8 and saw that all the image results were forced to "fit width" so I can only really see 1 result at a time. I have the "Google Search Fixer" installed and dialsabling it returns the image search view to gallery. But when I enable to addon it goes back to that "ft to wish" view.

I've looked through the options and tried searching for similar problems/solutions and found nothing. How do I return my Google image search view to gallery? It's really obnoxious and frustration to only be able to see 1 image at a time when searching.

"ft to wish" view.

"Fit To Width"*

I can't replicate the problem. Or in other words, I still get two columns of thumbnails with the add-on engaged, until I tap something.

What the add-ons does it change the user agent string Firefox sends to the site to a Chrome user agent. This triggers the site to send a different layout. Occasionally Google conducts A/B experiments, so it's possible you are seeing something new temporarily.

This is what I am seeing. With the addon on it goes to the Single Image view. With the addon off it goes to the gallery view.

It is consistently exactly this addon that is doing it itself or is interacting with something to force this view. I have yet to see any option or wording that would contribute to explaining or resolving this.

I have a similar issue since the last update but no add-ons installed. Signing out of the Google website sets it back to gallery view for me which made me think it was a Google setting somewhere, but it only happens when using Firefox.
