Some email providers default to a specific draft folder, possibly called Drafts or Draft, which may be different from from what Thunderbird defined. Check first to see which one is being used. The other one can sometimes be deleted from within Thunderbird and, if that doesn't work, try exiting thunderbird and deleting from within profile folder, where it would be at imapmail\<accountname> or Mail\<POPaccountname>
