When filling a form a date is to be filled in there is a icon when icon is clicked the fire fox sends it to bookmark page instead of opening calender this happens in many other sites. This has started since upgrading to current version

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."
