You should not uninstall IE for a number of reasons. Read the following article section carefully: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mozilla_Suite_:_FAQs_:_Remove_IE#Remove_Internet_Explorer_from_Windows
It is important to use Windows Update or Microsoft Update to keep IE currently updated!
