message "the proxy server is refusing connection" pops up when connecting to wi-fi

When I go to connect my other dell laptop to the wireless internet, the message (The proxy server is refusing to connect" comes up. it says further, "Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections." If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"
