Prior to installation...what changes will be made to my laptop...will explorer still be available..which version should I install.."hidden" changes/adware/etc?...Can I delete it and have no residue? I'm no techie
Firefox has been recommended, but.....how will installation affect my computer.....security programs.....adware/malware.....explorer...favorites....in other words...what am I getting and what am I losing.

Internet Explorer will still be available. Firefox doesn't affect any security software. Firefox is malware free when downloaded from trusted sources like Mozilla.com, mozilla.org, Filehippo.com, softpedia.com, download.com.
