Since updating to 3.6.16 the 'Open a new tab' button in the Tab bar does not work; neither does selecting 'New Tab' from the list in the File Menu nor pressing Ctrl+Tab?

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
