How do I get web pages to automatically reload?

Hi- I have several websites as app tabs, and they do not automatically update/reload. Most of these websites are news sites or will have continuous information changes. Even when I close FF at the end of the day and open it up the next morning, the news websites have yesterday's stories.

I made sure the "Warn me when a web site automatically try to reload a page" is not checked. Also, "When FF starts: Show my home page"

I can't find anything else to get those pages to automatically reload. I thought FF was supposed to reload on its own? Is there something else I should be doing?

Thank you.
