Address bar won't remember websites as I type...Nor will it open if I click on the arrow. (Firefox 4)
It used to be the case that, as soon as I typed a single letter on the address bar, it would automatically suggest me every website I had visited on the past that matched what I was typing. Alas, not anymore. What's worse, the address bar refuses to be opened too.
I already went to Tools, Options, Privacy, and the settings are as they should; "Firefox will Remember History". "The Location Bar will suggest History and Bookmarks". At least it says it will, but it doesn't.
This very same problem pestered me since Firefox 3.6. I was hoping for it to be gone once I upgraded to 4, but that wasn't the case. Firefox is the only one that presents this problem; Internet Explorer will remember everything and its location bar will open too.
I'd infinitely appreciate any light you can shed on this subject. Thanks in advance.

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing":
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History, Bookmarks, History and Bookmarks
This can also be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Location Bar's settings were correct, the problem was indeed caused by the file places.sqlite...After following the advice there, it's working like a charm! My gratitude is infinite as the national debt, cor-el! Thank you so much!
