Hi, As per this Article , Mozila intends to force upgrade FF 3.5 users late June. My organization specializes in digital signage and we have over 30k machines using FF 3.0 (yes i know its old :S ). we have been using this since our install and tests were customized for 3.0 and we are not planning to upgrade all of our 30k players to 3.6.17 at once, it might take a 1 year period. so this being said, will this issue affect us? is there any way to prevent the upgrades? we already have the auto upgrade option set. Thanks

Thanks Xircal but that does not really answer my question. I already have those turned off, i would want to know, if FF will override these settings and force the upgrade. Thanks

See this post: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/822767 You could perhaps use it to prevent unwanted upgrades.

As I understand it though from http://www.h-online.com/security/news/item/Mozilla-moves-to-aggressively-end-Firefox-3-5-s-life-1243869.html the update won't force users to upgrade unless they want to.
