Nothing happens when I try to download Firefox 4. When asked if I want to save the file I say yes and then nothing happens.

Have a look at these guides and post back if you still have problems. Remember to use an admin account in Windows XP, and there is a possibility you may need to temporarily disable security software to run an installation. see

Are you writing this from a different machine ?
( Your sytem details suggest you are already using firefox 4.0)
If you are using Firefox 4 and wanting to upgrade the current latest version use the about firefox option.
