want to add favorites from Internet explorer to firefox home page

I was prevented from accessing two of several online accounts I have routinely made payments on over the last year due to invalid or outdated security certificates. My local IP advised there may be a problem with Internet Explorer browser. Firefox was recommended. Problem still exists. In addition, I was told My Favorites from Internet Explorer would be imported to my Firefox browser. That didn't occur. I enabled both of these online accounts to be accessed in my settings under Internet Explorer. Still unable to access these accounts. Please advise what steps I need to take to prevent these security certificate warnings in the future and how to add favorites to Firefox browser. Thank you.

Invalid or outdated security certificate messages are many times caused by the time / date being wrong on the PC where those messages happen. Fairly common on desktop PC's when the "coin" battery on the motherboard is weak or almost dead, but it is rare in a laptop.

Double-click the time display in the System Tray and check the Date.

How to get your IE Favorites into Firefox Bookmarks.

In IE:
File > Import/Export - Export to HTML file

then in Firefox:
Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks -> Import & Backup - Import HTML... = From HTML file
