how do i stop the search bar from going up into nowhere when the mouse isnt hovering over it
i was waiting for a window to load up while taping of 4 different keys: alt gr, the one next to it, crtl and the one above that

Sounds like you are in Full Screen Mode. Tap the F11 key to toggle Full Screen Mode on or off. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Netbooks#Full_screen
