I want to block some websites that seem to be interfering with searches and their true locations.

Lately after doing a search, I will click on something and instead of going to that site, I jump to an interfering site such as "find answers fast or yellow pages" with the former site indicated as being a destructive site (according to WOT). If cut and paste the actual search reference location I go to the correct site. With all the updates to Firefox how do I go about blocking a particular site or keeping these interfering sites from popping up? Thank you.
