I am getting a pop up for Firefox 6.0.2, is this genuine or is it a virus approach. How do I stop it?
I am getting regular pop ups whilst using Firefox asking me to update to Firefox 6.0.2 which seems implausable since I am currently using Firefox . Is this a genuine approach by Mozilla or is it some kind of virus approach. Any ideas how to stop it? I run AVG anti virus. The pop up appears "out of the blue" centre screen or sometimes from behind the lower right toolbar. It looks lik genuine Mozilla but I am suspicious having read something about this. It only happens when Firefox is running

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.
