When I go into options/advanced/offline storage.. there is an option to set Cache size.. most will recognise it from clearing it. I attempted to enlarge it and found that it seems to automatically reset to a max of 1024 Mb default. Is it possible to make it larger than that? If so, how is it done? This is Firefox 7.01 on a Win 7 64-bit system.

No. You can't increase the cache beyond 1 GB mark. That maximum is hard coded in the source code.

We set a lower bound of 50MB and an upper bound of 1GB.
