I inadvertently turned off the pop-up info bar, so now I can never choose to see a pop-up. How do I access the bar?

I turned off the pop-up blocker, but that hasn't shown me the pop-up that I need.

You see a pop-up block icon on the location bar that allows to make changes.
If you click that icon then the drop down list has a checkbox "Don't show info bar when pop-ups are blocked"

You can look at the pref privacy.popups.showBrowserMessage on the about:config page and reset it via the right-click context menu.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

  • Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
