can't get firefox to remember my e-mail and password for hotmail
I got a new computer, windows 7 now. firefox won't ask to let me save my login and password for it. I checked and it's not on an exception list. Also now it logs out all the way from facebook when I close the browser. Any help out there?

You can't make Firefox remember the name and password in the Password Manager because the login form is created via JavaScript and that doesn't work with Firefox.
Websites remembering you and automatically log you on is stored in a cookie.
Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
Do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences" when you close Firefox.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode.
Hotmail is listed under my 'allow cookie exceptions' but Firefox still doesn't remember. Every time I exit my hotmail I have to log in again. This has just started happening recently. Also, I am not using Private Browsing mode.
