Until 5 days I was able to use hotmail on firefox. Now when it loads I can't open any of my emails on hotmail. Is it a setting on my browser?

The problem appears to only happen when I use firefox. The use of internet exp does not seem to have this problem. I am uncertain what has happened in the last week to cause this problem. Could it be a browser setting on my laptop that has changed?

Tools ("Alt"+"T") > Options > Content > [x] Enable JavaScript

with JavaScript off I get an entirely blank page, but in any case it is unlikely you would ever be able to use Hotmail with JavaScript turn off.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
