What are the steps for a backup? I know is tools, webdevelope,fireFTP..

Hello, I am try to do some backup from my newsletter but I am kind of lost. Tools, then web develop, fireFTP, then I click Connect, then Documents....and ? I this clear? Thanks a lot.
