Why does my firefox not open. My PC crashed several days after I downloaded the new Internet Explorer and Adobe reader 10X

My computer crashed and a blue screen came up for a few seconds so I could not read what it said so I restarted in safe mode and then started normally after I did what it said to do. Then I opened my PC and Firefox would not open. I did upgrade it a fews days ago and it looked different like you would expect then after a while it looked like the old one. I also downloaded IE9 which I use hardly ever and I downloaded Adobe 10x before all my problems started. I tried everything but nothing works and I am afraid to uninstall Firefox from control panel because I am afraid it will mess things up even worse. What can I do?

Thank you for answering so quickly.

I did upgrade and that's when all this happened. But I also upgraded to IE9 which I never use anyway. This made me think maybe upgrading both and also upgrading Adobe 10x caused all this. I am afraid if I upgrade this will give me the blue death screen again. If I do upgrade to firefox9 shoud I uninstall firefox 3.6 because it is still in my control panel even though it won't open. Is there ant other way to find out why it won't open when it's installed on my computer?
