I've downloaded and run the upgrade twice, but nothing changes. the home page looks the same, and the message and link to upgrade is still there. I'm running Windows XP. I also use Firefox at my office on two computers with the current version, and the difference is noticeable.

Hey alliem,

The latest version of Firefox is 9.0.1, so it looks like your updates have failed. You can look at the Knowledge Base article Update Firefox to the latest release for some troubleshooting steps. Alternatively, you might just want to try installing a fresh copy of the latest version of Firefox. I would look at the Knowledge Base article Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles first. That way you'll have a backup of all your bookmarks and person information.

Then you should completely uninstall Firefox and then download a new copy from:

Hopefully this helps!
