My Macbook is to old for the new version of firefox. I would like firefox on my iphone 4, but can't get it to work without syncing. I don't have the sync option on my computer.

There is no Firefox web browser made for the iPhone. The FirefoxHome app is specifically for synchronizing specific Firefox data from a desktop / laptop to the iPhone.
