How did i make my navigation history results smaller into more general websites instead of very specific web addresses that take up the page
Hi when i am typing in a webiste in the navigation bar a list of urls will come up that i have previously been to. In the past it was a list of about 5 or 7 websites consistently that i had been to and very general. Like facebook or wikipedia. Not specific pages on either of those. Now it is very specific pages that i don't want to go to again and when i simply type "w" when typing in "www." a list of about 20 random urls pop up instead of the list of 7 or so more general list of websites such as facebook, wikipedia, google. Please help!

Hi,
If you have already bookmarked the sites, you can try to restrict the dropdown menu entries to Bookmarks in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Privacy > Location Bar. Please also see this for other options via keyword characters.
If you want to remove data from a drop down list then use these steps:
- Highlight an entry in the drop down list
- Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
Entries in the location bar drop down list with a yellow (blue on Mac) star at the right end are bookmarks and those entries can't be removed from the location bar drop down list with the Delete key.
You can remove such a bookmarked item that shows in the list if you open that url in a tab and click the yellow star in the location bar.
This will open the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog and you can click the Remove button to remove the bookmark if you want to remove such a bookmarked entry.
