My pull down menus only persist for a moment. They will not stay long enough to use them.
When I put my cursor over items on my toolbar such as "File" and "Edit," or when I try to view previous addresses in the address bar, the items in the pull-down memnu only persist for a brief moment. Most times i do not have enough time to move my curcor to select them.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
