Pop up box keeps wanting to download Firefox 11.0.dmg

Had older version of Firefox - told me it needed a new version - downloaded it - now keeps popping up a box titled "Opening Firefox 11.o.dmg" with "you have chosen to open ..." and wants me to "opem with" or "save file" or cancel - I have tried all of these and the box just keeps popping up!!!! HELP PLEASE!!
