Anytime I download a file through firefox it creates a "helper files" folder I already made one so I don't want it to do that ... how do I get it to stop?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I don't follow you. I don't see anything in that area that will tell firefox not to create a helper files folder when ever I download a file.

That file may be created by one of the extensions that you've installed.

All I see is "Default 11.0 (disabled)" when I go into the appearance ... there was nothing about a "Themes" file.
