I can install flashplayer on Chrome and IE. Flashplayer will not install on FF12. I've uninstalled FF, uninstalled Flashplayer. Reinstalled both FF and flashplayer. The automatic plugin for FF won't connect to Adobe's servers and manual install doesn't work.

Firefox is a 32-bit browser and requires the 32-bit plugin version of Flash. Adobe's installer is suppose to install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions on 64-bit OS systems with both 32-bit and 64-bit browsers installed, but it seems problematic on 64-bit systems that have both 32-bit and 64 bit browsers installed.

Try downloading the 32-bit plugin installer for all browsers other than IE (IE uses the ActiveX version of Flash). Chrome is different and you must follow their instructions/procedures for updating Flash. For Firefox,

  1. click and download the installer shown on the following list as 32-bit Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers}
  2. SAVE it to your hard drive,
  3. close Firefox (Firefox button > Exit or File > Exit),
  4. then run the installer.
  5. Test your installation of Flash by using Firefox to go the the test link below.
