I use show all bookmarks to set up a menu. This page is now labeled library. When I click on an item it often gets hidden behind the library, rather than in front where it is supposed to be. This started happening with the latest Firefox update.

Can it be fixed?

I've noticed occasionally when I open a link in Firefox that the window I expect to appear and stay in front does not stay in front. I haven't been able to spot a pattern, and just trying your scenario once, it didn't happen to me.

If you have a wide screen monitor, another option for working with bookmarks, in addition to the Library/Organizer and the drop-down menu, is to use the sidebar (press Ctrl+b to open and close it).

Why can you not have the windows overlapping but have parts of both showing at the same time and give focus back to the main page by clicking on it? Another idea is to use the bookmarks menu. You can have one set up in the bookmarks toolbar.

The option suggested by jscher2000 is OK, but I would prefer that the Firefox developers fix the problem.
