Several problems popped up this weekend first one I noticed was in my msn email account when I click respond sometimes the person I am responding to doesn't come up in the "to" section and even if it does come up it is not allowing me to type anything. I am having a similar problem on ebay when I am trying to list an item it is not allowing me to type in the description field, It does allow me to type in some other areas. Lastly I just noticed it is also not allowing me to upload photos in facebook. I have tried several basic computer fixes like reinstalling the program and running some trouble shooting. I have found one screen that says there is a problem but it wont tell me what that problem is. I am pretty sure it is Firefox as I have tried in in explorer and I don't have the same problems.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
