My passwords are saved but not autocompleted
My password for a website is saved but is not autocompleted. I tried several scripts but they do not work. What is preventing Firefox from autocompleting the forms?

A add-on i have been using for years, "imacros" does this in a cinch. Amidst other great things.

That's not really what I need... The website does not autocomplete my password after I typed my username... Does this has anything to do with scripts?
Hello inyrface, maybe the website using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password. BUT you can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and the password also, see : User name and password not remembered
see also a useful add-on : Saved Password Editor
thank you
The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode.
- Tools > Options > Privacy: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
I have tried the bookmarklet and it says there are no instances of autocomplete=off, but it removed one instance of onsumbit, which is onsubmit="return dologin()". After that, I am unable to login.
